If I Could Choose My Mother

What if I could choose my mother,

With all the traits that I so prize.

I’d make a list of do’s and don’ts,

And other things to look for,

I’d decide what she should look like,

And other notes so I’d be sure…

This # 1 Mom design is created to use as a free printable iron-on transfer to make a Mother’s Day shirt as a gift, but can also be used for crafting projects.

When # 1 Mom is used to make a shirt:

1. This is designed with a white shirt in mind, so colors of the transfer may vary when being ironed onto a colored shirt. The type of iron-on transfer paper you use can also affect the color.

2. This image is not reversed so if your iron-on transfer paper instructs you to reverse (mirror) the image before printing, then you will need to pick that setting from your printer options. *** Important! Although most new types of iron-on transfer paper do not require reversing (mirroring), you do need to follow the directions included with the iron-on transfer paper you choose for making the # 1 Mom shirt.

3. For iron-on transfers that are being put on dark shirts, look for iron-on transfer paper that is for “dark fabric.” You should be able to get this type of iron-on transfer paper wherever transfer paper is sold.

4. When washing any shirt that has an iron-on transfer, it is recommended that you turn the shirt inside out (to prevent the transfer from rubbing on other clothing). It is also recommended that you hang up the shirt to dry, do not put in the dryer.

5. For crafting projects that do not include iron-on transfers, print the # 1 Mom printable as you would any other free printable.
